Stewartstown Into Semi Final
Monday 16.01.2017
Stewartstown are through to the last four of the Paddy McLarnon U21 Cup at Creggan after producing a rousing finish to see off the challenge of Monaghan champions Donaghmoyne on Sunday afternoon. The Harps led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break with man of the match Dan Lowe getting their goal from the penalty spot. Despite playing against the wind Donaghmoyne fought back and with ten minutes to go they were level, David Garland with six points and Ronan McDonald with a brace.
Both sides were down to fourteen men but it was the Harps who took the game by the scruff of the neck with inspirational Captain Conor Quinn firing over a brilliant point and Lowe adding a number of fine scores. Macaulay Quinn, Jason Park and James Lowe all registered as well as they won 1-12 to 0-9.
