Stewartstown Minors Secure Double

Stewartstown had to pull out all the stops to beat Eglish in the Grade Two minor championship final at Edendork on Saturday afternoon and in so doing complete the double at this level. Points from Conor McKenna and a goal from Ruairi Goodfellow saw Eglish lead by four at one stage in the opening period but by the break it was all square with Cathal Devlin, Sean Rush and Dan Lowe registering points for the Harps. McKenna and Devlin traded points in a low scoring second half before the former converted a late free to win the day as it finished 0-9 to 1-5.
