Stewartstown Prepare for Donaghmoyne Challenge
Wednesday 11.01.2017
Stewartstown begin their Ulster U21 campaign on Sunday afternoon in Creggan as they go up against Monaghan champions Donaghmoyne. The Monaghan men overcome Magheracloone in the county decider back at the end of July. Most of their players however were heavily involved in the Donaghmoyne side that won the Monaghan Intermediate championship title and reached the Ulster final only to lose out to Pomeroy.
Donaghmoyne will look to sharpshooter David Garland who hit 0-9 in the county final to produce their scores. They do however have other danger men in the shape of Ronan McDonald, Mikey Murnaghan and Aaron Courtney.
Stewartstown overcome near neighbours Coalisland in the Tyrone county decider back in August. On that occasion they won the game 0-8 to 0-7. A late point from Callan Burke and a superb free from Dan Lowe won the title for the Harps.
TTM will be in Creggan on Sunday afternoon to see who can come out on top of this Ulster quarter final game.
