Strain the New Man at the Helm in Omagh
Saturday 18.01.2014
Omagh St Enda’s have moved to appoint Larry Strain as manager of the club’s senior football team for 2014. Strain will be assisted in the Omagh hot seat by Barry McGinn as trainer. Both men will oversee the development of senior and reserve football in the season ahead.
Strain and McGinn have been working together for a number of years now having previously looked after Monaghan side Truagh for three seasons. Larry acted as Omagh senior coach in 2013 and was also a former joint manager with his native Drumquin team which won the Division 2 league in 2006.
St Enda’s man Barry McGinn has both senior and inter-county experience and holds a club championship medal from 1988.
As ever the pressure brought about by high expectations will be on to perform well in 2014. The St Enda’s club currently have eight players associated with the Tyrone senior football panel.
