Another weekend of blistering championship football lies ahead and the bumper few days all gets under way tonight Thursday at Newtownstewart where last year’s beaten Intermediate finalists Urney take on Pomeroy. Both these teams are well capable of making a serious fist of the championship and tonight’s game is sure to be an entertaining one. You can keep up to date with the action here on www.teamtalkmag.com where we will bring you all the half time and full time news as these two sides battle it out for a place in the quarter finals.

Tomorrow night Friday is the hugely attractive double header from Healy Park where we will be bringing you live updates of all the action as it happens as last year’s senior county champions Coalisland begin the defence of their title against Killyclogher. Before that one gets under way however Dromore St Dympnas, one of the favourites for this year’s championship will take on a Moy side fielding without their star man Sean Cavanagh. Be sure to follow all the major incidents, scores and key decisions right here live.

Loughmacrory is the venue on Saturday for another intriguing double header. In the first of these matches Strabane face Galbally in the Intermediate Championship. Going on league form and position Galbally will come into the game as hot favourites but that will count for nothing when the action starts. Following that is the match between Omagh and Donaghmore, two sides well capable of playing high quality entertaining football. This one could go either way and with Niall Mc Kenna and the Mc Mahon brothers on view we could be in for a real treat.

There is no let up in pace as we look forward to a super Sunday of football. First venue is O’Neill Park Dungannon where the action begins with an eagerly anticipated Intermediate clash between Loughmacrory and Killyman followed then by the senior contest which sees Sean Teague’s Greencastle side take on the highly fancied and hugely experienced Ardboe. Once again we will be bringing all the news, scores and results here first and live on www.teamtalkmag.com

The action then moves to Pomeroy for what is surely one of the most eagerly awaited first round championship clashes for many years. Errigal Ciaran, managed by Peter Canavan, take on a Ciaran Mc Bride managed Carrickmore side in a game that will make or break the season for these teams. Both are going well in the league but at this time of the year the championship is the only game in town and defeat for whichever side will be a huge blow. The curtain raiser to the match of the weekend is another Intermediate clash this time involving Newtownstewart and Eskra. Neither side has set the world alight in the league this year and indeed Eskra were pretty badly affected by emigration midway through the season while Newtownstewart seem to have been fighting relegation from day one.

You can follow all the action and get the first results and match reports from all the games live here on www.teamtalkmag.com
