Killyclogher defender Marty Swift appears swift by name and swift by nature judging by his speedy recovery from the knock he received against Roscommon on Saturday. The tight marking corner back had to leave the field following a clash with opposition midfielder Michael Finneran with blood streaming from a damaged nose. However Marty was quick to dispel any concerns about his availability for selection against Dublin today; “Aye it’s a bit sore alright but I should be okay for the weekend. I picked up a bit of a knock on my hip in the first half and was more worried about that to be honest but I am grand now” said Swift today. With his pace and marking ability he is just the type of tenacious defender Tyrone will need if they are to overcome the threat of a Dublin side brimming with confidence and in search of a place in the All Ireland semi final.
