1. Earliest GAA memory. Winning the U8 Carryduff tournament

2. Was your family a traditional GAA family? Yeah, my uncles Ronan and Turlough Mcgarrity played football for Carrickmore,  Ronan also played for Tyrone

3. Sibling involvement or success? I’ve 2 sisters who play football with ARDBOE…. yes I think that’s enough said

4. School participation and/or success. I played at all levels for Holy Trinity  from year 8 up to year 15…. loved it that much I had to go back for an extra year. I had some great memories in it but the highlight would have to be being on the first team in the school to win the Maclarnon and Paddy Drummond cups in 2018 which meant the school could push on to Macrory cup football.

5. Club/ County role models that you looked up to as a youth
Brian McLernon and PJ Quinn

6. Other sports that you played or had an interest in. Used to mess about in school trying to play a bit of hand ball wasnt great at it, apart from that nothing.

7. Most difficult opponent you have faced in club football and why? Brian Mc Garvey from Gortin, wasn’t easy followed in the senior championship last year.

8. Best player you have ever seen
play Gaelic football
From videos of old games I watched Canavan play, he wasn’t a bad player (pity about the teaching!)

9. Are you a fan of the recent rule changes?  No

10. One suggestion that you think might improve the game. Nothing wrong with the game the way it is

11. Are you a fan of academies/development squads? Why Yeah I’ve played from u15 level up with the academies, I think it’s a great way of meeting new people and getting to play with some of the best players in the county at that age

12. Your own involvement around the club.
Try to help out any time I can but it’s not always easy having to listen to Cokey Quinn

13. How important is the GAA in your community? it’s a massive part of the Community in Moortown, without it there wouldn’t be much else to do.

14. Favourite county jersey (not Tyrone) Kerry

15. Are you a fan of penalties to decide the outcome of championship games?
No, I think it’s safe to say I definitely wouldn’t be one of the players taking the penalty but still think it’s a cruel way to be put out of a championship.
