The promotion play-off match between Tattyreagh and Urney at the weekend was an epic duel between two very evenly matched teams. This really was an end of season battle with the winner remaining in the promotion play off and the loser making plans for next year’s pre season
Very little separated the teams throughout. Both teams had chances to win in normal time but failed to execute the necessary scores . Tats held greater possession in extra time and took their scores decisively in the final ten minutes .

For Tattyreagh midfielder Joe Cartin was immense leading from start to finish, well supported by Andrew Allen , Aidan Martin and Ger McElholm in defence . Up front Keelan McDonagh and Ronan Collins significantly influenced play, however every player gave a tremendous effort to secure the win to keep Tats promotion hopes alive .
Unfortunately with the county hurling final on Urney had to line out minus key player Anthony Crossan. Conor Mc Daid top scored with 0-6 while Sean Hughes (1-1), Jamie Mc Aleer (1-2), Danny Lynch (1-00), Adrian Maxwell and Ryan Henry 0-1 apiece were all among the scores for the border men.
Urney had a great opportunity to win it right at the death in normal time but missed narrowly. The Tatts did just enough to earn the win and move to the next stage of the play offs.
