It seems that things around the summit of Tyrone GAA are set to change. The departure of Tony Donnelly and Fergal McCann on Wednesday was seen by many as the first moves by Mickey Harte to reinvigorate his management team following what has been a disappointing season by Tyrone’s high standards.

Both men played huge roles in the Red Hands’ successes over the past decade and the county will forever be indebted to them for the fantastic contribution that they have made to Tyrone’s rise to the top.

Mickey Harte must have found it very difficult to let these two men leave. They have been his trusted advisers and confidantes during the most successful era of his management career while Tony Donnelly of course has been a close personal friend for many years.

However sometimes difficult decisions have to be taken and now that change appears to be ongoing, perhaps now it’s time to mend our relationship with a certain media organisation.

While everyone in Tyrone fully understands and respects the manager’s position in not speaking to the national broadcaster it is in the best interests of our county, our players and our sponsors that a resolution to the RTE situation is arrived at soon.
