Tyrone go into Saturday night’s Round 3 All Ireland Qualifier clash against Armagh with a new look team but a vastly experienced bench.  Of the 17 players named on the bench, 10 of them have appeared in an All Ireland Senior or Minor Football final. In addition to these we have Mac Rory and Hogan Cup winners, county senior medalists, provincial under twenty one champions and a number of Railway Cup representatives also. Rarely if ever can Mickey Harte have had the luxury of choosing such a talented first fifteen backed up by an expanse of youth and experience that must be the envy of many county managers. Indeed you could pick a team from the bench that would be sure to give many county teams a real run for it.

John Devine – Aireagal Chiaráin (1 All Ireland Senior Football Final Appearance)
Dermot Carlin – Coill an Chlochair
Aidan Cassidy – Eochar
Brian Dooher – Clann na nGael (3 All Ireland Senior Football Final Appearances)
