Following the election of officers at Tyrone GAA’s annual convention on Tuesday evening there are three changes to the county management committee for 2020. Martin Sludden is Tyrone GAA’s new county vice chairman and will assume the difficult role of reshaping the club fixtures programme following a recent review with clubs. Sludden defeated Eunan Linsay in a very close vote but that wasn’t the only vote of the evening. Benny Hurl is Tyrone’s new Ulster Council rep following a convincing win in an election over Michael Harvey and former Tyrone chairperson Roisin Jordan. Hurl will be joined on the Ulster Council by Trillick’s Dermot McCaughey. The post vacated by Benny Hurl was that of Tyrone Coaching Officer and that position has been filled by Cookstown’s Damian Harvey. The remainder of the management committee stays the same for 2020.
