Tyrone hurlers have continued their winning ways in this year’s National League with another convincing win, this time away to Cavan. The Red Hand hurlers led 2-8 to three points at half time and looked more than comfortable against a Breffni side lacking confidence and quality. The second half was a procession for Tyrone and they finished the game leading by twenty six points on a final score of 4-23 to 1-6. South Down did Tyrone a huge favour by beating Fermanagh in their league fixture and that leaves Tyrone top of the table with six points after three wins out of their first three games. The next big test comes when The Red Hands face their near neighbours and rivals Fermanagh in what could well be a league decider next Sunday.
