Three Points The Difference In Division Three.
Wednesday 01.06.2011

Brockagh missed out on the chance to move clear at the top of Division Three when they lost out at home to Dungannon. The Emmetts had been tipped by many, including our results forecaster Joe Mc Mahon, to win this one. However Dungannon showed considerable mettle and grit as they held on to earn the two points. The result sees the Clarkes leapfrog their opponents and move joint top of the division with Killeeshil and Aghaloo. Killeeshil had a very important and convincing win away to a Derrytresk side that only two weeks previously had been sitting unbeaten and joint top of the league while Aghaloo accounted for a spirited Brackaville side at home.
One of the most impressive performances and results of this latest round of fixtures was Errigal Ciaran Thirds fine win over Tattyreagh. The Tatts had been showing signs of improvement recently but were hit for four goals as the Dunmoyle lads turned on the style.
Conversely Carrickmore thirds failed to build on their impressive win away to Dregish last time out as they lost out to Beragh Red Knights by twelve points a result that gave the home side their first win of the season. Three points separate the top eight teams and it is a similar situation at the foot of the table with three points separating the bottom seven. Owen Roes ran Drumragh to a point last weekend as they still await their first win and will be hoping that their bottom of the table clash with Carrickmore Thirds on Friday night will yield their first victory of the season. Should that happen, it would not only provide them with a morale boosting win but it should also be enough to move them off the foot of the table.
