Title Triumph For Dromore

Dromore collected the grade two U14 league title at Newtownstewart on Saturday when they proved too strong for a gallant Na Doiri Oga side. Padraig Edgar got an early goal for the winners with the superb Shae O’Donnell landing a number of points. The Derrytresk / Derrylaughan select were giving as good as they got and they finally made the breakthrough with a well taken goal from full forward Cathaoir Campbell to leave it 1-6 to 1-1 at the break.

Corbin O’Neill struck for a superb goal in the opening moments of the second half to close the gap further but Dromore raised their game. O’Donnell found the net before full forward Oisin Colton put daylight between the sides. To their credit Na Doiri Oga kept battling away with O’Neill getting his second major but almost immediately Colton did likewise at the other end of the field with Nathan and Eoin McCusker tagging on points as it finished 4-15 to 3-4.
