There can be little doubt that the two Division One games down for decision today are sure to attract large crowds and lots of interest. It is half time in both and the Errigal v Carrickmore game could not be closer with the teams level at four points a piece with Caolan Daly on target for the visitors and Caolan Tierney and Ciaran Mc Ginley scoring for the League Champions. Meanwhile at Gardrum Park Dromore are leading at the short whistle 1-6 to 0-5. Former county player Colm Mc Cullagh has been on target with a goal from the penalty spot and two other points while Eoin Mc Cusker has also knocked over a couple for the home side. Dromore’s other first half scores came from Hugh Mc Nulty and Adrian Mc Caffrey.

The second half saw Dromore emerge fortuitous one point winners on a score of  1-11 to 0-13 but Moy must be wondering just how they failed to get something from this match. Dromore finished the game with thirteen men following two late sendings off. Mc Cusker, Mc Cullagh and Mc Caffrey were on target for the winners but it took the introduction of minor player Matty Mc Caffrey to turn the game for the home side as a Peter Mallon inspired side led Dromore a merry dance in the second half. However the home side used all their experience to engineer this win which takes them clear at the top of the table and they remain the only unbeaten side in the county. This was as a result of Carrickmore’s two points win over Errigal Ciaran at Dunmoyle. Errigal’s defeat brings to an end a run of almost four years undefeated at home. Caolan Daly top scored for his side in a low scoring game that finished Errigal 0-6, Carrickmore 0-8.
