Pol Clarke and Breacach teammate Conor Mc Elduff travelled to Chicago at Christmas for the USHA juvenile competition with a lot to prove and plenty of motivation. This was Conor’s last year in this particular 19 and under age group of competition. He produced some majestic handball that saw him make it through to the final where he came up against local favourite Brant Bidigan. Unfortunately for Conor there was to be no last hurrah and he just came up short in a closely fought final.
Mc Elduff’s club mate Pol Clarke made it through to the semi finals of the 17& under competition but lost out to his doubles partner Tyler Stoffel in a tie breaker having suffered from a very harsh call earlier in the game. However the pair reunited for the doubles competition where they went on to win in what was one of the best games of the whole competition 14/21 21/17 11/7.
