SFC | Trillick Book Semi Final Spot & PODCAST
Friday 11.09.2015
Trillick became the first side to book their place in the semi finals of the Donnelly Vauxhall Senior championship when they emerged 0-14 to 1-7 winners over Greencastle at Healy Park on Friday night.
There was little between the sides in the first half with Trillick leading 0-5 to 0-3 at the break thanks to points from Lee Brennan and Niall Gormley, Brennan having a penalty brilliantly saved by Colly Touhey. John and Cahir McCullagh were among the points for the St.Patricks.
Within five minutes of the restart Trillick had tagged on four points and they never looked back, Brennan and Gormley again the marksmen. Brennan finished with seven points to his name with Gormley getting three and Niall Donnelly, Richard Donnelly, Sean Kelly and Shane Gormley also on target. Substitute Mark Carson had a brace of points for Greencastle while John McCullagh scored an injury time penalty but it was only a consolation score at that stage.
