Trillick Lift Under 16 Championship Title

Trillick and Gortin served up a great game of football this morning at Clanabogan in difficult weather conditions in the grade four under 16 championship final before the Reds lifted the title on a score of 2-6 to 1-7. The sides were very evenly matched throughout with only two points separating them at the break as Trillick made the most of the wind to establish a 0-5 to 0-3 lead. The winners ability to make the best of limited possession in the second half and their ability to poach goals proved decisive. Big full forward Jamie Kelly netted twice at key stages during the second period to ensure the title went home to Trillick.
