TTM Thoughts on Barry Eccles RIP

Often in life there is always an explanation as to why things turn out the way they do. There’s nearly always a known outcome for every action. But not always.

Gifted players don’t appear as a result of hours and hours of training, fitting in with systems and tactics or listening to clever coaches and managers. Talented players are born not made.
Barry Eccles was a precocious footballing talent from a young age. He helped Omagh St Enda’s annex County and All Ireland Feile titles in the early nineties before going on to star for the club and county senior teams. He needed little or no instruction when it came to delivering match winning performances.

To the Gaels of Omagh and Tyrone but more especially to his immediate family and circle of friends TTM wish to extend our deepest sympathy on your tragic loss.

It’s hard to find reason why he was so swiftly taken from us in the end. It’s as much a mystery as the natural talent that he had on the field of play. Whether you played with him, against him or were fortunate enough to see him in action we all can agree we were lucky to have him.
