Tuesday 28.07.2015
Omagh made the trip to O’Neill Park to play Dungannon and they came away with the two points after a thumping 2-20 to 0-5 victory. Conor O’Donnell hit 1-5 for the St.Endas with Conan Grugan getting 1-2 and Rory and Ryan McBride hitting three points each. It was a night to forget for the Clarkes with Keifer Morgan getting three of their points and Daniel Grimley also on target.
Eglish gave their survival prospects a huge shot in the arm when they upset the odds with a fully merited 0-12 to 0-7 win at home to Errigal Ciaran. Peter McCann led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Patricks with seven points to his name with Ciaran Colton, Sean McKillion and Rory McKillion getting their names on the scoresheet as well. Pio McDermott notched a trio of points for the visitors with Daisy McDermott getting a brace.
In division two Karl McGuckin proved to be the hero with a last minute goal as Edendork produced a sterling comeback to win at Pomeroy and go top of the table. The Plunketts looked to be well on their way to victory when they established a 1-6 to 0-3 lead with Gavin Goodfellow getting their goal and Sean Quinn and Ollie McCreesh supplying a couple of points each but they failed to score again. Harry Og Conlon, Paul Donaghy, Brian O’Rourke and Conn Kilpatrick all had points until McGuckin’s late major won the day on a 1-8 to 1-6 scoreline.
Eskra picked up two badly needed league points when they got the better of Moortown 0-13 to 1-7 on home soil. Ryan Gartland, Johnny Hackett, Adrian Scullion, Joe McCarroll and Aaron Kelly all had points while keeper Daire McCarroll was a hero saving a penalty from Conan McLernon late on.
