Peter Canavan’s Fermanagh side were back in London at the weekend to fulfil their previously postponed National League Division four fixture with the locals. The original game had fallen foul to the weather a fortnight ago at considerable expense and inconvenience to the team and their travelling band of supporters. As a result Fermanagh support among the thousand strong crowd at sun kissed Ruislip today was thin on the ground but those who did manage to make the trip came away smiling following this display that saw the visitors very impressively take the points on a final score of 2-15 to 0-09. That win leaves the Erne county with four points from their opening two games and in a healthy position at this early stage of the league. Canavan will surely have been delighted with the win but more importantly at the range of scorers across the team. Once again Seamus Quigley with 1-05 was the top scorer but Fermanagh had ten different scorers on the day which will be a big boost to the confidence of the whole squad.
