Tyrone Camogs Climb Croagh Patrick
Tuesday 17.04.2012
Although there was no action on the field last weekend in terms of club or county camogie, that does not mean that the camogs of Tyrone were resting up. Indeed far from it as quite a few clubs, accompanied by members of the county board made the long trip west to Mayo and prepared themselves for an assault on Ireland’s holiest mountain. Croagh Patrick has long been a place of pilgrimage for people from Tyrone and it is not all that long ago that Enda Mc Ginley, John Devine and Stevie O’Neill took part in a charity fundraiser on the mountain. This time it was an opportunity for the camogs to combine their resolve and energies and climb the mountain as part of a fundraising project.
