Current Tyrone captain and former footballer of the year, Stephen O’Neill is currently putting the finishing touches to a major fundraiser due to take place this weekend.  O’Neill who is a P4 teacher at St Mary’s PS Killyclogher is the driving force behind a fundraising cycle in aid of raising some much needed funds for the school.

Only last year the local St Mary’s GAA club organised a very successful cycle which started at Croke Park and finished 112 miles later in Killyclogher.  It was on the back of this event that Stephen decided to organise a similar event to raise money for school funds.  The event takes place this Sunday 28th October and includes a 30 and 50 mile cycle for adult cyclists as well as a number of shorter cycles and a walk for the pupils of the school.   The cycle routes cater for the relatively new to the seasoned cyclist.  Refreshments will be provided in the school afterwards.

The event is open to anyone interested and registration will take place at the school from 8.30am this Sunday morning.  For more information visit www.facebook.com/KillyclogherPSCycle
