Tyrone made the trip to Ballinderry on Saturday afternoon to take on Derry in round two of the Ulster Minor league and it ended honours even after a 1-12 apiece draw.

Derry raced into an early 0-4 to 0-1 lead with points from Ben McCarron, Lorcan McWilliams and  Martin Bradley but then Tyrone took over. Mattie McGuigan kicked a couple of points as did PT Cunningham while Cathaoir Gallagher found the net for a 1-6 to 0-5 interval advantage.

Two minutes into the second half though it was game on again when Derry full forward McWilliams found the net. Oran Mallon and Odhran Quinn exchanged points as did McCarron and Odhran Rafferty.

With the sides level James Morgan and Cunningham twice put Tyrone in front but each time Derry replied through McWilliams. Cunningham then put the visitors back in front but a McCarron free with the last kick of the game denied a Tyrone side who had two players sent off in the closing stages.
