LADIES | Tyrone Ladies Scrape Through

Tyrone senior ladies required extra time before seeing off the challenge of Cavan on Saturday afternoon at Brewster Park. The Breffni side had been the better team for long periods of the game but when it was required Tyrone’s grit and determination saw them home.
The Red Hands girls had trailed throughout the game before a couple of late, late Joline Donnelly scores took the game to extra time. However even in extra time Cavan remained a threat and led by a point as the first period of extra time passed. Sub Zoe Loughran made a name for herself and gave her team something to fight for when she hit the net just before half time in extra time.
Tyrone showed considerable resilience in the second period of extra time to edge a nervy finish by a single point on a final score line of Tyrone 1-12, Cavan 0-14. Next up for the new look Red Hands is a clash with a very impressive and high scoring Donegal side that totally annihilated Down on Saturday afternoon.
