Tyrone Lose Out In Final
Monday 28.05.2018
Tyrone U14 ladies’ attempt to win the Ulster title came up just short at Drumragh on Sunday afternoon when they lost out to a strong Donegal side. The Red Hands recovered from a slow start to close the gap with halftime approaching before a Donegal goal left five between the sides, Rhianne Monaghan with 1-3 for Tyrone after Cloadagh Munroe had opened their account.
An early second half goal from Rhianne Monaghan helped close the gap to the minimum but Tyrone couldn’t get back on level terms and despite points from Kelly McCaffrey and Emma Conroy they lost out 3-11 to 2-9. It completes their season and while they didn’t win any silverware they competed strongly losing out to Dublin in an All Ireland blitz final while also finishing runners up to Armagh in the Ulster blitz earlier in the season.
