Tyrone lost out in the Ulster Minor League Final when they were beaten 1-15 to 2-7 by Donegal at Brewster Park in Enniskillen on Saturday afternoon. The winners were out of the traps quickly and had already six points on the board before Lee Brennan halved the deficit with a 14th minute goal. James Darcy added a couple of points and while the Red Hands trailed 0-10 to 1-2 at the break they had the wind at their backs for the second half, Lorcan Connor, John Campbell and Caolan McGonagle all supplying Donegal points.

Michael Carroll and Enda McGarrity traded points on the restart before Lee Brennan left four between the sides when he knocked over a tricky free from out on the right wing. In the 12th minute of the second half Connor converted a Donegal penalty and when Tyrone were reduced to fourteen men five minutes later when Cormac O’Hagan was sent off the Red Hands were fighting a losing battle. To their credit they never gave up with Darcy grabbing a late goal but on the day Donegal emerged worthy winners.
