Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has made five changes from last Sunday’s smash and grab win over Kildare. Into the side for the trip to Killarney come PJ Quinn, Danny Mc Bride, Ronan Mc Nabb, Shay Mc Guigan and Patrick Mc Neice.
Last day out Tyrone struggled at times to get primary possession in the middle third as the Leinster side monopolised the midfield and caused all sorts of problems for the half back line. Sean Cavanagh partners his brother Colm in the middle of the park while Danny Mc Bride and Ronan Mc Nabb add a bit of grit and physicality to the half back line.
The forward unit has a very youthful appearance to it as Shay Mc Guigan lines out at left half while Coalisland’s Patrick Mc Neice starts in the corner in place of Connor Mc Aliskey. The full team is as follows:
Niall Morgan, PJ Quinn, Conor Clarke, Barry Tierney, Danny Mc Bride, Peter Harte, Ronan Mc Nabb, Colm Cavanagh, Sean Cavanagh, Emmett Mc Kenna, Ronan O’Neill, Shay Mc Guigan, Darren Mc Curry, Mattie Donnelly, Patrick Mc Neice.

Subs: Michael O’Neill – Cluain Eo, Dermot Carlin – Coill an Chlochair, Kyle Coney – Ard Bó, Mark Donnelly – An Charraig Mhór, Kevin Gallagher – An Baile Nua, Conan Grugan – An Omaigh, Peter Hughes – Eiscreach, Plunkett Kane – Oileán a’Ghuail, Connor McAliskey – Cluain Eo, Tiernan McCann – Coill an Chlochair, Aidan McCrory – Aireagal Chiaráin

Kerry who are without a point at this stage in the campaign will name their team on Friday at 5:00pm but are expected to have several of their injured players available for selection. It is a big ask for a very young and inexperienced Tyrone team but buoyed by the win in Newbridge and more aware than ever of their defensive shortcomings they just might have enough to carve out a third win in this year’s league.
