Tyrone Manager Ponders Team Selection.
Thursday 23.06.2011

With the Ulster Senior semi final only three days away Mickey Harte finds himself in the unusual position of going into an Ulster Championship match as the underdog with Donegal many people’s favourites to eclipse Tyrone and make it through to a Clones showdown with North West neighbours Derry. The Tyrone manager will hardly be too concerned about how the pundits or fans see this game but he will have been weighing up Donegal’s improved form and change of style of late as he prepares to name his team after training this evening. The Tir Conaill side have been hugely impressive this season as they lifted the Division two league title and easily brushed aside the challenge of an insipid Tyrone along the way. Under new manager Jim Mc Guinness some people are predicting a change in the old order claiming that Tyrone’s star is on the wane and Donegal are now the top team in Ulster. Well that is still a matter of some debate but it and several other questions will all be answered in Sunday’s game . One thing for sure is that the manager’s team selection will generate many column inches between now and three thirty on the 26th of June. We will bring you all the team news just after eight o’clock tonight as we look forward to Tyrone’s biggest game of the year here on www.teamtalkmag.com
