Tyrone were already through to the Minor C Shield final but Sunday’s result in Louth determined who they meet in next week’s final. Joint captains Oilibhia Farley and Aine Cunningham showed their leadership by taking the first four scores for the Red Hands. Any forward movement by their opponents was quickly dealt with by a strong  Tyrone defence. The capable Louth keeper was under considerable pressure but Rhianne McLoughlin, although tightly marked, was dangerous in both a scoring and support role and hit the net with a ground strike. Farley then repeated the action and Sienna Gildernew made it a third with a kicked ball.

Half time Tyrone 4-10 Louth 0-0

After the break Tyrone were able to utilise their talented extended panel and test different players in different positions. Additions Catherine Moohan and Emer Cunningham were among the scorers in the second half. Louth were able to take some scores but the verstality and awareness of Tyrone saw them deserved winners.

Result: Tyrone 6-20 Louth 0-3
