Tyrone Ref To Officiate In Ulster Minor Final
Wednesday 06.07.2011

While Tyrone’s absence from this year’s provincial minor final has caused a great deal of disappointment across the county, it has meant that our referees were in line for recognition in terms of officiating at the show piece of Ulster football. As a result Brackaville’s Cathal O’Hagan, one of the most promising officials in the country, has been chosen to referee this year’s Ulster Minor Final between Armagh and Cavan.
It completes a nice double for the Dungannon based school teacher who also took charge of this year’s minor league final.
Cathal has been refereeing for the best part of ten years now and he is presently a member of the National Support Panel. Cathal has officiated at all levels within Tyrone and has handled finals at juvenile as well as Junior and Intermediate level while on the inter county front he was in charge of the Under 21 Championship fixture between Fermanagh and Cavan back in the early part of this year. On behalf of Teamtalkmag.com and all GAA followers across the county we congratulate Cathal on his appointment and wish him well in the final.
