Tyrone have received a set back in their preparations for next weekend’s All Ireland semi final clash with Mayo following the CCC decision to hand veteran defender Conor Gormley a one game suspension as a result of the shenanigans that took place as the teams left the field at half time in the Tyrone/Monaghan game. Gormley clashed with the Monaghan defender Dessie Mone and as a result has picked up this unusual ban. In the interests of being seen to be even handed and consistent it is hoped that the same committee will forensically examine all of the championship games played so far this year and make sure that any player who escaped sanction by the referee will also be dealt with in such a manner.
