Tyrone Team Named for McKenna Opener

The first Tyrone team of the new season was named by Mickey Harte this afternoon and it’s very much a new look Tyrone side taking to the pitch in Letterkenny.  Only two players, Matthew Donnelly and Ciaran McGinley, started in last years All Ireland semi final against Mayo.

Due to injuries Peter Harte, Connor Mc Aliskey and Ryan Mc Kenna are all unavailable for selction. The manager has added Aidan Mc Crory to the panel to provide defensive cover due to the absence of these players. The availability of these 3 players for the remainder of the McKenna Cup is unknown at this point.

Should the team line out as selected three players, Conan Grugan, Shay McGuigan and Emmett McKenna will make their Senior inter-county debuts. If introduced at any stage, Kevin Campbell, Hugh Gallagher, PJ Lavery, Daniel McNulty and Patrick Quinn will also make their Tyrone debuts.
