Tyrone through to Lory Meagher Final
Saturday 21.05.2011

Tyrone hurlers are through to this year’s Lory Meagher Cup following a five point victory over Warwickshire in Birmingham this afternoon. Tyrone only led by a single point at half time 1-7 to 1-6. They managed to stretch the lead out to six points at one stage in the second half but the exiles continued to make life difficult for the Red Hand lads. However Tyrone’s team spirit and determination saw them through to the final in Croke Park in a fortnight’s time. They will meet their old adversaries and North West rivals Donegal in the final following the Tir Connail men’s victory over South Down in the other semi final. Tyrone’s scorers today were Rory O’Neill 2-0, Aidy Kelly 0-7, Conor Grugan 0-4, Mark Winters, Mike O’Gorman, Justy Kelly and Gary Fox 0-1 apiece. Final Score Warwickshire 2-10 Tyrone 2-15.
