Tyrone To Face Kildare In Croker?
Monday 07.11.2011

Following our all Ireland quarter final defeat against Dublin there were many Tyrone supporters who feared it might be years before our team graced the hallowed turf of Croke Park again. Well it seems we may have been premature in our thinking if current rumours are to be believed.
At present there is a strong belief that Tyrone will play in at the Jones’s Road venue on the opening day of the 2012 National League against Kildare. Their scheduled Division Two game will be the first part of a double header of fixtures that will hopefully get the new National League season off to a flying start. This game will be the curtain raiser to the big Divison One clash between Dublin and Kerry. Both games are expected to be played under lights and will be sure to draw a huge crowd to the stadium.
It will be the first time in many years that Tyrone will take to the field in Croke Park in a competitive match without the services of recently retired trio Brian Dooher, Philip Jordan or Brian Mc Guigan.
