The Ulster Schools’ Camogie All Star Awards have been running since 2004 and recognise the talent and skill of the students in our second level schools.

This year Tyrone’s young Camogs picked up three awards following the trials organised by Ulster Schools. The winners come for St Patrick’s Academy in Dungannon and St Joseph’s Grammar School in Donaghmore.

Úna Kelly, Chairperson of Ulster Post Primary Schools’ Council, in announcing the team, commented on the standard at the trials.

“The teachers who attended and the independent selectors were very impressed by the standard of the players both at the preliminary trials and then the 50 who made it through to the final trial last week.”

“The skills and technical ability of the players attending are rising every year and anyone included in the final selection has certainly earned their award and a place on the Ulster team.”

“We are looking forward to working with the girls over the next few weeks preparing for the inter-provincial competition.”

Eglish star Reagan Fay, Derrylaughan’s Emma Donnelly  as well as Naomh Treasa’s Eimear Colton were selected to be part of the squad and awarded the Allstar title. Congratulations to the trio for their well deserved recognition and awards.
