Tyrone Under 21s Lose Heavily To Monaghan

Tyrone Under 21s travelled to Emyvale this evening for the final of the Shamrock Cup and suffered a heavy fourteen point defeat to Monaghan on a scoreline of 4-8 to 0-6. Tyrone struggled to cope with the Farney county from early on and found themselves in bother against a free scoring Monaghan side. Conceding three first half goals left the Red Hands with a mountain to climb but there was little chance of a comeback and Monaghan controlled the second half on their way to a comfortable but deserved win. Tyrone will face a strong Donegal side in the Ulster Championship quarter final at Healy Park in a couple of weeks time and will be hoping for an improved display on tonight.
