Tyrone’s opening game in the Barrett Lighting Mc Kenna Cup has fallen foul of the weather. Mickey Harte’s side had been due to start their 2011 season at home to defending champions Donegal but the game has been put back a week due to the recent cold snap. The news will come as a huge disappointment to all followers of Gaelic Games who had been looking forward eagerly to the first live game of the year. For former minor star Ciaran Gervin it will mean a wait of a further week before he gets the chance to make his senior debut for the Red Hands. All the other fixtures in the competition have also been postponed.
