Tyrone begin the defence of their Ulster title when they face a new look Monaghan side in Omagh on Sunday afternoon. Healy Park will be buzzing with around fifteen thousand spectators as Mickey Harte’s side, once more led by Brian Dooher, attempt to book a semi final place. Neither side enjoyed great league campaigns but Tyrone were in the hunt for promotion back to Division One right up until the last day. The championship of course is a different animal and Tyrone have shown themselves to be past masters of difficult situations in Ulster but there is always a sense of trepidation on the eve of such a big game. All the questions, queries and concerns will be answered, dealt with and faced up to in the full glare of the thrills and spills of the first round of The Ulster Championship.
