Division Three Reserve Championship final
Brackaville 1-12 – Errigal Ciaran Thirds 1-7
Brackaville are celebrating a fourth Junior Reserve Championship title in five years following Saturday’s five point victory over Errigal Ciaran Thirds at Edendork.
It has been a superb couple of weeks for the club, who also tasted minor success last weekend, while the reserves have now completed the league and cup double thanks to an impressive second half showing.
Errigal enjoyed the best of the opening half exchanges as they raced into a 5-2 lead. Conor Quinlivan and Ryan McKenna among their points, but a late flurry of scores from Fergal McCrory and Conn Gervin helped Brackaville restore parity by the break.
The sides shared the opening two points of the restart, but with the wind at their backs Brackaville turned the screw with three successive points. However, aided a by a Declan Quinn goal Errigal regained the lead and they remained competitive until James Quinn’s three pointer propelled Brackaville to victory. The Roes outscoring Errigal 1-4 to 0-1 in the final quarter.
