Tyrone show five changes from the team that drew with Derry in their opening National League fixture. Tiarnan Mc Cann makes his National League debut coming in at wing back in place of Dromore’s Ronan Mc Nabb while Moy’s Colm Cavanagh who entered the fray following Danny Mc Bride’s black card starts again in centre field. There are also changes in the half forward line where another league debutant Emmett Mc Kenna joins Peter Hughes at ten and twelve respectively. The manager will be hoping for more success with this new look three quarter line especially in and around the dirty ball area. The fifth and final change from the Celtic Park draw sees Omagh St Endas young star Ronan O’Neill come into the full forward line in place of Coalisland’s Patrick Mc Neice.

Tyrone’s bench has a different and much more experienced look to it as well. Team captain for 2014 Sean Cavanagh, Dermy Carlin, Kyle Coney and Mark Donnelly are all listed among the subs which is sure to give the manager greater options especially in the forward unit.

Tyrone and Mayo also met early in last season’s National League in Castlebar when a last minute Stevie O’Neill penalty secured the points for Mickey Harte’s side. That game attracted a crowd of more than nine thousand to the Mayo venue and with all the promotion work currently being done by Club Tyrone to encourage families to attend a similarly large attendance at Healy Park is possible, weather permitting.
