U14 Wrap Up

The latest round of U14 league games took place on Friday night although Drumquin had a 9-10 to 8-4 win over Owen Roes twenty four hours earlier. Stephen McBride [2-2], Lee McSorley [1-1], Oisin McMenamin [1-3], Cormac Rodgers [1-0], Gavin McLaughlin [4-0], Jamie McAleer [2], Brian Fury and Paul Brannigan were the scorers for the young Wolfe Tones.

Urney had a comfortable win over Tattyreagh with Tiarnan Langan [1-1], Danny Doherty [2-4], and Sean Maxwell [1-0] among their scorers with Liam Langan, Daryl Maxwell and Jason Langan playing well for the St.Columbas. Newtownstewart defeated Trillick 6-9 to 4-5 with Tori Nicholas in superb form hitting 4-6 with Tiarnan Mayse [1-0], Eoin Bradley [1-0], Matthew McNulty, Michael McSorley and Jake McHugh also on target.

Beragh beat Drumragh with Conor Martin [1-2], Eoin Grimes [1-0], Callum Corrigan [1-0], Cathaoir Donnelly [2], Liam Ward [2] and James McSorley the scorers for the Red Knights. Castlederg beat Glenelly with Conor Harper hitting 5-3 and Rambo Ramsey and Darren Traynor playing well for the St.Eugenes as well. Cormac McBride, Jamie McCrory and Rory Kennedy played well in defence for Glenelly, Fergus O’Neill and Michael McMullan battled hard in midfield while up front Gavin McGarvey, Darren Sheerin and Aodhan McConnell were best for them.

Feile champions Dromore continued their unbeaten season when they proved too strong for Errigal Ciaran. Rory Gallagher hit 1-7 for the St.Dympnas with Mark McGread [1-2], Johnny McCrory [1-2] and Caolan Slevin [1-1] their scorers with Padraig Quinn and Jamie Law playing well in defence. Moy put up a battling display away to Donaghmore although they still ended up well beaten. Steve Donaghy, Emmett Lavery and Diarmuid McKeown got the Moy goals with James Birt, Odhran Casey, Conall O’Hanlon and McKeown among their points.
