U14 Wrap Up

The latest round of U14 games took place on Tuesday night with action right across all the grades. Killeeshil defeated Moy 4-18 to 6-4 with Louis Conlon, Ryan Doyle and Tomas Hoy getting their goals with Mattie Joe McKenna, Conrad McKenna, Niall Loughran, Liam Hughes and Matthew McCusker all playing well for the winners. Michael Conroy [1-2], James Birt [1-1], Ciaran Foster [1-1], Conal O’Hanlon [1-0], Steve Donaghy [1-0] and Michael Mackle [1-0] were the Moy scorers on a night when they had good performances from Gavin Kelly, Andrew Mullen, Diarmuid McKeown and Adam Donaghy.

Moortown defeated Dungannon 5-13 to 4-3 with Sean Kelly and Conor McVeigh in defence, Callum Gallagher in midfield and Jamie Devlin, Eunan Devlin and Odhran Corr up front best for the St.Malachys. Urney had a big win over Clann na Gael with Danny Doherty [6-3] and Tiarnan Langan [4-6] in fine scoring form for the winners with Jason Langan, Luke Kelly, Sean Maxwell and Paddy McHugh all playing well for the young St.Columbas. Glenelly were another side in fine form as they won on a 4-14 to 1-6 score line. Fergus O’Neill [7], Nathan McLaughlin [1-3], Michael McMullan [1-2], Dara O’Hagan [1-0], Darren Sheerin [1-0], Aodhan McConnell and Brandon McGrinder were their scorers with McGrinder, Jamie McCrory and Rory Kennedy the pick of the defence, O’Neill and McMullan on top in midfield and Sheerin and McLaughlin playing well up front.

Castlederg continued their unbeaten run when they got the better of a hard working Owen Roes side to make it nine wins in a row. The Derg’s younger members all played well with Shea Devlin, Cian Harper, Daire Corry, Conor McLaughlin and Gavin Kelly all to the fore.
