U16 League Title For Killeeshil

Killeeshil 2-5 Edendork 1-7
Killeeshil won the grade three U16 League title at Dunmoyle on Thursday evening when they had the minimum to spare over Edendork in the final.
Scores may have been at a premium throughout but that doesn’t take away from the quality was that on show from both sets of players. Edendork will feel that its a game that they should have won as they missed a number of chances while they also found Killeeshil keeper Tiernan Skeffington in inspiring form throughout. The sides were locked together at 1-3 each at halftime with Rian Neilis getting the Edendork major while Killeeshil’s three pointer was an own goal.
Neilis edged the St.Malachys in front on the restart before Daniel Rafferty levelled matters. Points from Neilis, Ben Cullen and Peter McGoldrick put Edendork three clear and the way that scores were coming it looked like a match winning lead. Killeeshil though struck for a late Conor McCool goal before the same player won it for the St.Marys from a free moments later.
