U16 | Moortown Take Grade 2 Title

Moortown travelled to Clonoe on Saturday afternoon to take on neighbours Ardboe in the final of the U16 Grade 2 championship and came away with a comfortable win. The St Malachy’s lads had a narrow lead at the break despite Ardboe recording the only goal of the half thanks to Ger Teague. Hunan Devlin, Mark Devlin and Thomas Doris were amongst Moortown’s scorers in the first half.

After the break Moortown took control of the game thanks to a Mark Devlin goal. They pushed further ahead with a second goal from the boot of Tarlach Quinn before scrambling a third goal over the line in the dying seconds. Final Score – Moortown 3-14 Ardboe 2-5
