U16 R1 League Wrap Up In Association With GHOST PIZZA

Grade 1

 

Carrickmore edged past Eglish in a low scoring encounter, 2-5 to 1-7. Lorcan Dobbs proved to be the match winner for Carrickmore with a last gasp goal. Seanie Slane (1-1), Ronan Hurson, Eoin Daly, James Kerr and MJ Penrose were their other marksmen with good displays coming from Conal McElduff and Fion Gormley. Seamus Muldoon scored the Eglish goal with Ethan McCarron, Conan McGuckin and Sennan Donnelly all getting a brace of points with Danny Daly solid in defence and Jayden Flatley dominating midfield.

 

Ardboe were narrow winners over Cookstown at Coney Park, 4-12 to 3-10 the final scoreline. Ciarán McKeown, Odhrán Coleman, Conn McKeown, Jack McGuigan and Ollie Mallon were among the scorers for the Rossas with Matthew Mallon and Joe Gillespie to the fore in their defence. Jake Mulligan (2-2), Eoin Lennon (4), Tiernan Lagan (1-1), Michael Heron, Odhran Larmour and Conor Fitzpatrick were the scorers for the Father Rocks with good performances coming from Lennon, Mulligan and Rafa Danso.

 

Loughmacrory were 1-15 to 2-9 winners at home to Owen Roes. Cormac Fox was excellent at full back for the winners with Damian Meenagh also playing well and getting a few scores while Mark Harte also played very well in the half forward line getting a few turnovers and James Conway was excellent at running with the ball in the attack. Owen Roes were fielding in grade one for the first time in a number of years and they more than held their own. Shea Houston 1-4, Lorcan Kelly 1-2 and Daire Houston 0-3 were their scorers on the day.

 

Galbally had the minimum to spare away to Omagh at Healy Park, 2-13 to 2-12. Finbar Quinn, James Hurson, Marcus McLaughlin, Ronan Ferguson and Darsai Quinn were among the scorers for the Pearses with good performances coming from Paidi Hetherington, Cahal Mulgrew, Conor Hamill and McLaughlin.

 

Goals proved decisive as Donaghmore won 3-10 to 0-10 away to Killyclogher. Darragh O’Neill, Marty Ogle and Tiernan Burns all found the net for the visitors with Michael Hetherington and O’Neill among their points and Padraig Donnelly, Kane Jones and James Shields playing well.

 

 

Grade 2

 

Clonoe were in fine goal scoring form as they won away to Fintona. Keelan Preece and Eoghan Colton hit 2-1 each for the Rahillys with Eoin Ferguson 1-2, Charlie Fox 1-1 and Conor Coney their other scorers while Jamie Coney, Matt O’Neill and Aodhan Donnelly all battled well in a good team performance.

 

Coalisland recorded a good victory away to Drumragh on a day when they had ten different scorers. Tommy O’Neill (1-5), Eoghan Crawford (1-1), Ryan Doc (1-1), Arijus (1-0), Callum Devlin (1-0), Fionnan Woods (2), Aronas (2), Noah Donnelly, Dillon Devlin and Naoise Woods were their scorers with Oisin McShane and Ryan Duffin playing well in defence and Callum Devlin producing a man of the match display at wing half back. Matt Gallagher and Eamon Barrett were among the scorers for the Sarsfields.

 

Kildress recorded a good win away to Moy. Sean McNally 2-1, Ruairi Mulgrew 1-3, Caidan Quinn 1-1, Dylan Conway 0-3, Jamie Loughran 1-0, Rory Grimes 0-2, Senan Hughes 0-2 and Caoimhin Heagney were the marksmen for the Wolfe Tones with Conway, McNally and Mulgrew their best performers on the day. Charlie Conroy top scored for Moy with 1-4 with the Devlin brothers Donal and Daithi to the fore for them and keeper Eunan Lavery pulling off at least three fine saves.

 

Greencastle emerged worthy winners away to Na Doiri Oga. Cailum McKenna notched 2-2 for the winners with Fionn Harte contributing a trio of points and Ruairi Devlin and Cathan McDermott both getting goals as well on a day when they had good displays from Conor Molloy, Sean Og O’Neill, McKenna and Fionn Harte.

 

Dungannon were emphatic winners away to Castlederg. Jamie was in outstanding form finishing with a number of goals with Cormac, Tiernan, Donnacha, Stephen, Jacob, Sean T, Daire, Ellis and Pat all getting on the scoresheet as did Lorcan McHugh and Charlie Connolly while Kian McMenamin was prominent in attack as well.

 

Dromore also secured a resounding win on the road at Naomh Brid. Daire McKenna and Tomás Goodwin were among the goals for the St.Dympnas with good performances coming from Louos Turner, Alex Peace and Daithi Corrigan.

 

 

Grade 3

 

Moortown shaded the verdict at home to Eskra, 3-13 to 3-10. Thomas Kelly converted a brace of penalties for the St.Malachys with Cormac Conlon getting their other major, all three goals coming in the second half. There were good performances for the winners from Luke Ryan in defence and Conan Crozier up front.
