Drumquin defeated Naomh Padraig on Monday evening in round five of the U16 league with Eoghan Canavan and Johnny Campbell playing well for the latter. Ardboe defeated Cookstown on Monday night as well, 4-12 to 2-6 it finished in favour of the Rossas. David Mulgrew [1-2], Kevin Coney [1-1], Michael O’Neill [1-0], Caolan Mallaghan [3], Aidan O’Neill [1-0], Callum McGuigan [1], Matthew O’Neill [1], Manus Teague [1] and Odhran Devlin [1] were their scorers on a night when Gary Hagan, Eoin Lynn, Kevin Coney, Nathan Bell, Michael O’Neill, David Mulgrew and Caolan Mallaghan played well for them.

Newtownstewart defeated Trillick 5-13 to 1-10 with Tiarnan McNamee 1-5, Michael Coreless 1-1, Ciaran Duncan 1-1, Daryl McGuigan 1-0, Aidan McSorley 0-2, Pearse McSorley 0-1, Naomhan McNamee 0-1 and Shane Ashenhurst 0-1 all on the score sheet for the St.Eugenes. Danny McCaughey, Ryan Garry, Lee Brennan and Peter Gallagher all had points for the St.Macartans with the latter getting their goal as well. Pomeroy maintained their unbeaten run when beating Eglish with Aidan Woods bagging a hat trick of goals and Gavin Goodfellow and Stephen Cunningham finding the net as well as it finished 5-6 to 2-3.

Carrickmore were in superb scoring form as they easily accounted for neighbours Cappagh. Peadar Daly, Aidan Fullerton, Ronan Grogan and Mark Fox all grabbed goals for the St.Colmcilles with their keeper Ciaran Grogan also saving a penalty. Clonoe suffered their first defeat of the campaign when they lost 3-12 to 3-6 to neighbours Coalisland. Shane Donnelly was excellent in midfield for the O’Rahillys scoring 1-1, Fintan McClure and Kevin Duffin hit 1-1 each as well and Sean Cullen contributed three points on a night when Sean Timlin and Donavan Shields stood out in their defence. Shea Oliver, Michael McKernan, Cormac O’Hagan, Gerard Woods and Sean Corr all scored for the Fianna with the latter playing well in midfield with Eoghan Hampsey to the fore at centre half back. Stewartstown defeated Naomh Mhuire 2-10 to 1-8 with Shay Devlin and Dylan McElhatton getting the goals for the Harps.

Aghyaran made the long trip to play Rock and came away with a comfortable win with Martin Corrigan, Shea Litter, Padraig Ward and Adrian Barrow scoring for the St.Patricks. Errigal Ciaran suffered their first defeat of the campaign when they lost 1-18 to 2-10 away to Omagh, Patrick O’Neill 1-4, Paudge McAnenly 0-4, Padraig McGirr 0-2 and Eoin Kelly 1-0 the scorers for the visitors on a night when Ben McDonald and McGirr played well for them. Greencastle got the better of Kildress on a 2-15 to 2-6 score line with Gavin Slane [2-8], Shane McGuigan [3], Aidan Clarke [2], Dermot McAleer [1] and Francie McKenna [1] their scorers with Mel McCullagh and Seamus Warnock also playing well in a good all round team display. Johnny Connolly top scored for the Wolfe Tones with 1-4 to his name, Stephen Loughran notched 1-1 and Caolan Mullan got their other point on the night.

Galbally picked up their fourth win of the campaign when they had a comfortable victory at home to Dromore. Enda McGarrity, Ronan Nugent and Mark Quinn were the Pearses goal scorers with Peter Teague and Tiarnan Sludden among the St.Dympnas’ marksmen.
