Moortown defeated Moy 2-9 to 1-8 with Stephen Donnelly getting the goal and Declan Conroy, Mark McConville, Ryan Coleman, Shay Armstrong and Niall McConville contributing their points. Brackaville travelled to Kennedy Park to play Killeeshil and they emerged comfortable winners. Star of the show for the winners was Che O’Donnell who hit an amazing 5-12 with James O’Hagan and Dwayne McKenna both finding the net with Rian McHugh and Ronan Fox among the points. Rory McElhatton was outstanding in defence for the young Roes while keeper Ronan Wilson pulled off two superb saves.
Castlederg were in fine scoring form as they defeated Drumragh 9-11 to 2-12. Paddy Porter grabbed 5-2 for the winners with Charlie McAnena [2-0], Cathal McLaughlin [2-2], Kosta Savanis [6] and Ryan McGrath the St.Eugenes scorers on the night. A goal in the final minute saw Gortin edge out Tattyreagh on a 3-10 to 1-15 score line. Eoin Murray top scored for the Tatts with eight points with Joe Cartin not far behind him with 1-4 with John Harkin [2] and Niall Murray [1] their other scorers. Coalisland defeated Ardboe 4-8 to 1-15 with Cormac O’Hagan, Sean Corr, Cahir Quinn, Caoimhin Morgan, Shea Oliver and Tiernan Teague among the scorers for the Fianna on a night when they were best served by Darragh McCann and Cahir Quinn.
Dromore edged out Owen Roes in a cracking encounter 1-13 to 2-9. Stephen Harper and Cathal McShane notched seven points between them while Ronan McNulty and Eunan Hegarty got the goals as Owen Roes led going into the closing stages but the St.Dympnas struck back to earn a dramatic victory. Peter Teague, Ciaran McCormack, Joe McCusker, Pearse Muldoon, Cillian McDermott and Fergal O’Neill got points for Dromore with Declan McNulty getting their goal before Ciaran Slevin got a late winner.
