U18 Hurling Titles For Naomh Colum Cille And Eire Óg

The Grade 1 and Grade 2 Under 18 Hurling Championships were decided on Monday night at Garvaghy. The Grade Two Final saw Naomh Colum Cille defeat the Strabane based Na Seamróga after an impressive display.
The second game saw old rivals Eire Óg and Eoghan Ruadh lock horns once again and a fast start by the Carrickmore based club which saw them hit the net twice inside the opening five minutes proved crucial. Conor Mc Glinchey and Aidan Woods were the the goal scorers for their team.
Eoghan Ruadh did produce a more than decent comeback reducing the gap to a single point ten minutes into the second half but Eire Óg finished strongly to win 2-8 to 0-11.
