Tyrone U21 hurlers overcame a rather tame Fermanagh challenge tonight at Killyclogher to record an impressive 6-14 to 2-6 win over the Erne county in the Ulster Under 21 Shield semi final. With Damian Casey in hugely impressive form and three goals from nippy corner forward Sean Mc Veigh Tyrone were never in bother in spite of the best efforts of Fermanagh centre back Francis Mc Brien. The Red Hands led 3-5 to 1-3 at the break with their goal coming on the stroke of half time. At this stage Tyrone had been reduced to fourteen player following a second yellow card for their centre back Conor Mc Nally. Any hopes Fermanagh had of staging a comeback disappeared with Sean Mc Veigh’s second goal and the sending off of corner forward Sean Corrigan. Tyrone dominated the rest of the game with Aidy Kelly, Casey and Conor Grogan all in outstanding form. Manager Tony Fall can now look forward to the final where his side will face Donegal following their win over Monaghan tonight.
